                  Burj Khalifa is a skyscraper located in Dubai. Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world with a height of 829.8 meters  contains 163 floors covering an area of 3,09,473 m2 and weight of 500,000 tonnes of empty building .The net worth of Burj Khalifa is estimated at 1.5billion US$.  Suit rooms starts at the rate of $600 Per night and cost increases according to the facilities and other offerings provided to us . The construction work of the building started in may 2004 and ended in September 2009.It ranks next to the BURJ AI ARAB  in Dubai.

                             
Burj Khalifa was designed to be the centerpiece of a large scale ,containing more than 30,000 homes and nine hotels that contains all over world  recipes to attract visitors and tourists from all over the world . Burj Khalifa is a design of an engineering company called ADRIAN SMITH, SKIDMORE,OWINGS & MERRILL.                                                                                               




                                                                                    Burj Khalifa is well known not only for its height but also for its design and its flower shaped structure. This design is fully based on aerodynamics .The building design was inspired by the shape of a flower called  Hymenocallisor Spider Lily

The size of the building reduces eventually with increase in each floor but  on different sides of the building .It helps the building to resist against the strong wind at such a height of 800 plus meters. And to sustain in the loose ground filled with dry sand which does not provide any tight bonding.

  • Burj Khalifa also holds the record of highest number of floors in the world. 
  • Construction required the use of 330,000 cubic meters of concrete, equal to the weight of 100,000 elephants.
  • Aluminium used to build the Burj Khalifa weighs as much as 5 Airbus A380 airliners.
  • The exterior of the Burj Khalifa is covered with 26,000 glass panels, all cut individually by hand.
  • Sustainability was extremely important during construction – the exterior cladding is silver coated to improve insulation, and solar panels were installed to heat up to 140,000 litres of water per day.
  • It takes three months to clean the windows from top to bottom. After having finished, it’s time to start again.
  • The tip of the Burj Khalifa can be seen from up to 95 km away on clear days.
